Champ Bradley Desir vs. Shokhin Safarov added to ROC 57

Bradley Desir (9-5 MMA, 3-0 ROC) will look to defend his Ring of Combat lightweight championship  for the third time against Shokhin Safarov (3-2 MMA, 0-1 ROC) at ROC 57 in the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey Nov. 18, 2016.

Desir defended his strap against former “The Ultimate Fighter” season 16’s Julian Lane by third round technical knockout at ROC 56 Sept. 23, 2016. Desir won the the title against Eddie Lenoci at via second-round knockout at ROC 53 in November 2015.

Desir defended his belt against Lenoci in March 2016. He is (3-1) in his last four fights with a unanimous decision loss to Joseph Lowry at CFFC 59 July 9, 2016.

A more inexperienced fighter than Desir, Shafarov is coming off a technical knockout loss to Lenoci at ROC 57 in September 2015. The defeat snapped a three-fight winning streak with wins against Mohammad Jamishidi, Abaikhan Kadyrkhan and Fanil Rafikov in the promotion, Alash Pride.
